No parent should have to navigate the foster care system alone.
Foster Care Table Talk
You can’t talk about nu’thin, if you ain’t been though sum’thin.
If your child is in care right now, this is for you.
You are sitting in meetings you don’t understand. Court dates you dread. Paperwork, requirements, and nobody sitting down to explain any of it. You are not failing. Nobody taught you this.
I sat on the other side of that table.
My name is Stephanie Gillespie.
I was a foster parent for nine years in the state of Georgia, from 2015 - 2024. I watched children come in and out of my home, and when they left, a lot of times you just don't know where they land. I know what that room feels like. That is why I built this.
Pull up a chair.
Every episode is a real conversation about the foster care system, with people who have lived it. No jargon. No pretending. Just the truth about how this works and what you can do next.
I need help with my case.
The Foster Care Navigation System shows you, step by step, what is required of you to bring your children home. So you walk into court prepared, not guessing.
I want to tell my story.
If you have been through this system, as a parent, a relative, or a foster parent, your voice belongs at this table.
This is based on my own lived experience as a foster parent for nine years in the state of Georgia. I am not a lawyer, psychiatrist, or psychologist. This is not legal advice. Laws are different in every state and change over time. Always check your own situation with your lawyer or caseworker.
